MONGOOST-50CM3 FLIGHTSTICK BASE
Introducing the 3rd generation MongoosT-50 Flightstick Base!
The MongoosT-50CM3 Flightstick Base builds on the standard set by the previous MongoosT-50 Bases, with further refined build quality and the inclusion of independently adjustable clutch dampers which, just like the axis pretensioners, can be adjusted on-the-fly without dismantling the base.
These clutch dampers can be used to control the center return behaviour of both the X and Y axis independently. These high quality clutches can be adjusted to apply a light force on the axis allowing you to more easily apply steady and precise control to the flightstick, minimising the risk of unintended deviations. Smoothly lining up a target, or coming in for aerial refuelling has just become easier!
The clutches can be adjusted further to even hold the flightstick in position after being released. This allows for helicopter pilots to apply a lighter touch and easier control of rotary wing aircraft without fighting the return force of a typical flightstick. This feature also brings exciting possibilities for our space-sim pilots - in dual stick cockpits, the clutches can be independently adjusted to allow the flightstick to stay in position along the Y axis, perfect for engine control duty, while allowing the X axis to be adjusted for other inputs!
The VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Base has a smaller deflection angle from the center versus the VPC WarBRD Base, this allows it to maintain a practical and comfortable arc length even when using long extensions.
The base mechanism features a premium all-metal construction, using high quality, high strength D16T duralumin.
The VPC MongoosT-50CM3 has independently adjustable axes, with 3 spring weights and 5 cam profiles provided with every base.

AviaSim Soft Center

The soft-center detent provides a suble tactile response when crossing the center point allowing it to be more easily located.
Light Springs
Reduced centering spring tension allowing for faster and less fatiguing inputs.
Adjust the damping applied to each axis - pilots can fine tune the level of rebound, or even have the axis stay in place without a return to center, to suit their preferences.
AviaSim No Center
The no-center detent removes the tactile response when crossing the center point allowing for ultra precise and smooth inputs around the center point.
Standard Springs

Provides a strong centering tension for increased feel and realism.
AviaSim Hard Center
The hard-center detent provides a strong tactile detent when crossing the center point creating a very accurate level flight/center point.
Heavy Springs
Extra strong centering tension for use with heavier metal grips and/or extensions for better centering response.
CosmoSim Soft Center
The "CosmoSim" soft-center detent offers a subtle tactile response when crossing the center point.
CosmoSim No Center
The no-center detent removes the tactile response when crossing the center point allowing for ultra precise and smooth inputs around the center point.
CAM TYPES

AVIASIM CAMS
The "AviaSim" cams are tuned for atmospheric flight simulators. The centering force increases non-linearly the further away from the center the stick is. This lends to developing muscle memory for flying your aircraft on-the-edge!

COSMOSIM CAMS
The "CosmoSim" cams are tuned for space sim pilots. The centering force increases linearly from the center point. This allows for fast wall-to-wall stick movements with ease when dogfighting.
Each axis can be individually tuned with different springs and cams to create the axis response you want. A common configuration is using no-center cams on the pitch axis and soft-center cams on the roll axis to aid with finding level flight during disorientating maneuvers.
